About The Yoga

The secrets and causes of creation are presented here in a simple yet profound way, allowing anyone—regardless of their knowledge or material circumstances—to attain wisdom. The path shown here is one where wisdom and spiritual progress are achieved while living a family life, without abandoning it. This method promises not only freedom from disease, aging, and death but also extends these benefits to those around us.

It is universally accepted that yoga is necessary for understanding who we are, why we have come into this world, and where we are destined to go. Great yogis have revealed that yoga must be practiced with the awakening power of Kundalini. Over time, different methods were established, and Patanjali declared Raja Yoga, also known as Ashtanga Yoga, as the highest form. By this practice, when the Kundalini energy begins to work within the body, external consciousness ceases, and a state of samadhi ensues. However, it is acknowledged that this state is not easily attained by all, and achieving it requires a gradual unfolding of the Kundalini power, leading one to the pure state.

Our ancestors taught that the physical body is limited and subject to decay. Through yoga, we must purify our astral body, break free from the impressions of the past, and ascend to the pure state. It is said that realization of the Divine cannot be achieved through the physical body alone. The ancient Sankhya philosophy calls this the creative order, while the Vedantins declare that everything is happening within the illusion of maya. Others claim that the Divine, in a limited form, has created the universe for His own play. Faced with these differing views, we find ourselves doubting which path to follow.

The root cause of all these differences is one, and so must the path be one. If there is only one truth, why do we see so many schools of thought and religions? Are they not also creations of the Divine? Would it be wise to explore religion after religion without personal experience? This society was founded to remove such doubts by enabling all people to realize the Divine within the physical body through the wisdom of Kundalini. Through internal questioning and personal experience, all can achieve self-realization.

Master C.V.V. founded Yoga Friends Society and Bhrukta Rahita Taraka Rajayoga in 1910 with the ultimate goal of guiding humanity to the next stage of evolution—physical immortality. Members of this society practice an easy yet powerful form of yoga. The immediate results include protection from planetary influences, alleviation of karmic burdens, and physical rejuvenation. Ultimately, the practice fulfills the promises given by the Master to his initiated disciples.

Master C.V.V., who received his early education in Kumbakonam and Srirangam, was proficient in all branches of knowledge, including the scriptures, sciences, and philosophies. His explanations of this yoga are a testament to his vast erudition.

The practice requires steadfast dedication from initiation until the day of fulfillment. If even one disciple within a group achieves the goal, all others will receive the same rewards. Ultimately, one by one, the entire human race will be brought into this fold, and in time, death, disease, and decay will be eliminated from the world.
